Create/Edit Analytic View: Cache Measure Groups

Define groups of analytic view measures and attribute dimension levels for which aggregated data exists.

Use this page to specify groups of measures and groupings of levels for which aggregated data exists in a materialized view. Using pre-aggregated data can produce quicker query results.


Note:

The aggregated data must exist in a static materialized view.

Cache Measure Groups

You can add or remove a measure group and select the measures that are in the group.

To add a measure group:

  1. Select the Cache Measure Groups folder.

  2. Click the Add icon, then click Add Measure Group.

To remove a measure group:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the measure group.

  2. Click the Remove icon.

To add or remove a measure from a measure group:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the measure group.

  2. In the measures group, select or deselect the check box for the measure.

To add or remove all measures from a measure group:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the measure group.

  2. In the measures group, select or deselect the Select check box.

To filter the selection of measures:

  1. Select a measure.

  2. In the Measure Filter field, enter a text string. Only the measures that contain the string remain in the selection list.

Level Groupings

You can add or remove level groupings from a measure group. You can add or remove hierarchy levels from a level grouping.

To add a level grouping to a measure group:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the measure group.

  2. Click the Add icon, then click Add Level Grouping.

To remove a level grouping from a measure group:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the measure group.

  2. Click the Remove icon.

To add a level to a level grouping:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the level grouping.

  2. In Level Grouping Details, click the Add icon,

To remove a level from a level grouping:

  1. In the Cache Measure Groups folder, select the level grouping.

  2. In Level Grouping Details, click the Remove icon,
