Analytic view expression templates and snippets are convenient when creating an expression for a calculated measure.
Templates provide SQL calculated measure expression statements for predefined calculations that you can perform on your data, such as Prior Period, Period-to-Date, and Share. Expand the folders in the Analytic Views Templates and Snippets tree to view the templates or snippets.
Snippets are code fragments for single-row functions and CASE statements.
To insert an expression template or a snippet in the Expression Editor, do one of the following:
Drag-and-drop the template or snippet to where you want it to appear in the Expression Editor.
Double-click the template or snippet to insert it at the current location of the cursor in the Expression Editor.
Select all or part of the current contents of the Expression Editor, then double-click the template or snippet to wrap it around the selection.
