This topic describes the Drop Level, Drop Hierarchy, Drop Measure, and Drop Calculated Measure dialog boxes. These dialog boxes show you the effects of dropping a specific object.
A level, hierarchy, measure, or calculated measure can have dependents, which use that object as part of their definition. For example, if you drop a measure, then you drop all of the calculated measures that use that measure in their calculations. Similarly, if you drop a dimension, then the cubes that are defined with that dimension lose the detailed breakdown of the values it provides. The cube still exists, but without the deleted dimension.
Confirm Drop
This page lists all dependencies of the object being dropped by name, type, and description. These objects are either deleted or modified when the object is dropped.
SQL
This page shows the SQL or PL/SQL used to delete the object and either delete or modify its dependent objects.
