ASCIISTR

ASCIISTR converts a string in any character set to ASCII in the database character set. Non-ASCII characters are represented as \xxxx, where xxxx is a UTF-16 code unit.

Arguments

char can be any character string.

Example

ASCIISTR('Skåne') returns the value Sk\00E5ne.
