Attribute Dimensions

Use this page to specify properties for the attribute dimensions for the analytic view.

Source Column: Lists the columns that are the sources for the attribute dimensions.

Column Data Type: The data type of the column.

Name: The name of the attribute dimension. To change the name, click the Edit (pencil) icon and revise the name.

AS Dimension Alias: An alias for the attribute dimension. To change the alias, click the Edit (pencil) icon and revise the value.

Type: The type of the attribute dimension, which can be STANDARD or TIME. To change the type, expand the drop-down list and select the other type.

Note:

If you specify TIME as the attribute dimension type, you must also specify a TIME type for the levels of the attribute dimension.

Attribute Dimension Levels

This section displays properties of the selected attribute dimension. To select the properties to display, expand the drop-down list at the side of the column titles.

Name: The name of the level.

Caption: The caption classification of the level.

Description: The description classification of the level.

Type: The type of the level. For a STANDARD type attribute dimension, the level type is STANDARD. For a TIME type attribute dimension, the level type must be one of the time period types, such as MONTHS. To select a type, in the row for the level in the Type column, expand the drop-down list.
