Object Properties

View or modify the properties of an attribute dimension, hierarchy, analytic view, measure, or calculated measure.

Force on Create or Replace: Select this option to force the compilation of the object after you have changed the properties.

Prompts

Filter: Because this dialog box is displaying properties for one object, this field is not used.

Object Types: Shows the type of object to which the properties apply. To change the object type, expand the drop-down list and select a different type.

Classification Type: Lists the type of classification specified for the object.

Value: Shows the value specified for the classification.

To add a classification:

  1. Click the Add classification icon.

  2. Optional: select the default classification name and enter a different name.

To change or add a value for a classification:

  1. Click the field for the classification.

  2. Enter a value or select the existing value and enter a new value.


Note:

Some classifications, such as the FORMAT_STRING for a measure, may have predefined values. To select a different value, expand the drop-down list and select a value.

To remove a classification:

  1. Click the classification type or value of a classification.

  2. Click the Remove classification icon..

To apply your changes to the classifications:

  • Click Apply.

SQL

Shows the SQL statements for creating or replacing the object if you have changed the classifications for the object.
